Latigo arrived at Boyd Ranch as a playful and beautiful 10 week old puppy! We werelatigo,pf,spade 179_crop looking for a young future sire with Crown Point breeding, wanting to cross these lines on some of our Boyd Ranch females, that carry a lot of the Hangin Tree lines.
After much searching we found Latigo at Mott Ranch in Arizona. He has wonderful breeding including WTCH Crown Point Chief of True Grit RD PATDs, WTCH Rockings Kodiak Bear, WTCH Crown Point Red Baron W Lazy J and many more! I made a phone call to them and we agreed to do a trade, Latigo for a Boyd Ranch female pup.
I think this was a great “Horse Trade” for both parties and we were very excited to welcome Latigo to Boyd Ranch!
Latigo has matured into a beautiful dog, has plenty of cow sense, and is working on the ranch like a champ. He has natural ability and a great sense of grouping and is working with our other dogs gathering and pushing cattle. Latigo is a very sweet boy and likes people and other dogs too. He doesn’t like any kind of drama in his life and makes sure he stays out of trouble within the dog pack and us too. Latigo is a wonderful Boyd Ranch dog!
